When we opened YarnWest in Spring 2010, I told my husband Joe that if we even made it, I could probably go five years.
So, just as the five-year mark approached, family considerations and other events converged in a way that made it clear it was time for us to embark on a new adventure. Places to go, people to see. Joe and I are looking forward to the next chapter in our lives.
This was not a sudden decision to close the shop. We had been talking to prospective buyers since early December, but nothing worked out. One door closes, another opens.
Thanks again to everyone who supported YarnWest. We appreciated every sale, every smile, every story. It’s been a joy and a privilege to share knitting!
If you’d like to stay in touch, or see what we’re up to, I’m pretty sure Joe is going to get us up on Facebook. Give us a little time to get that going. Right now, only the store itself has a page. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for further updates on that.
